Activity: Load up Windows 7 Release Candidate

What will you get?

Interested participants can enter Microsoft Innovation Center with their laptops and load up Windows 7 RC Ultimate Edition on their machines. There will be 3 available methods of installing (over WDS / DVD / USB). A SWUG member will be present to help you with the process.

What do i need to bring?

You will need to bring your own equipment. Primarily your laptop. Please do note that you are responsible to backup your data before coming. We will not provide backup services and cannot be held responsible for lost of data.

What will we do?

SWUG will lead you through the installation using the following methods in order (WDS/USB/DVD).
We will not upgrade your current Operating System, but instead do a clean installation as recommended. We will wipe out and install a new installation.

How long is the installation?

The installation may range from 30 mins to an hour, depending on your machine specifications. We will set up a queue should the be overwhelming demand to install Win7 RC at site.
