Community Technology Update 2009 H2 Registration Information

Date: 19th Dec 2009
Time: 8.30am to 6.00pm
Venue: Microsoft Singapore, Auditorium
 
Entrance Fee: SGD$10 (Early Bird Price) - To register before 14th Dec 2009 - 12.00pm
Entrance Fee: SGD$15 (14th Dec 2009 - 12.01pm to Actual Day of Event)
*Note: Previous years, CTU has always been full and registrations are rejected. To avoid disappointment, register early. 
How to pay Entrance Fee
Early Birds (Before 14th Dec 2009 - 12.00pm)
  1. Perform E-Banking Transfer to
    • DBS Savings 005-8-053434
    • This account belongs to Dennis Chung (Treasurer) - (We're running this event in personal capacity, not that of Microsoft's)
  2. Add New DBS/POSB Payee.
  3. Under ""My Initials", indicate your NRIC/Passport Number.
  4. Under "Payee", indicate "CTU2009".
  5. Take note of the Txn Reference (Need to include in registration), print out to keep as reference.

Walk in (14th Dec - 12.01pm to Actual Day of Event)

  1. Only Cash is accepted at the event.

How do i register for the event?

  1. Pay the entrance fee via e-Banking. Ensure you have the Txn reference.
  2. This time we're doing email registrations. All registrations should be sent to i-dchung@microsoft.com.
  3. Use the following information to complete the registration;
    • Email Subject: [CTU-Registration] <Your name>
    • Name (as in NRIC/Passport):
    • *NRIC/Passport:
    • Email Address (As registered with community):
    • Contact/Mobile (For quick contact purpose):
    • Company:
    • Job Title:
    • Entrance Fee Txn Reference Number:
    • Date of Transfer:
    • Session Code you will attend (eg. ITP01, ITP02, HOL03..etc)
  4. Send and save a copy of the email.

How will i know if payment is received by CTU 2009 Registration Team?

Registration Team will reply (within 3 working days) with a confirmation email to acknowledge receipt of your registration and successful payment of the entrance fee. The confirmation email will also serve as receipt of payment.

What if i do not hear from registration team after 3 working days?

Send an email to i-dchung@microsoft.com with as much details as possible.

Important Notes & Disclaimer

  • CTU is organized by the Technical User Groups. Microsoft is in no way responsible for the operations of the event and how it is conducted and executed.
  • Members of the Organizing Group, whom may work for Microsoft as staff/contractors, are acting in their own individual's capacity as community members and contributor. Microsoft is in no way liable/reponsible for the aforesaid transactions in relations to CTU.
  • For enquires and in transparency of accountability, you may contact any of the board members for clarification when in doubt;
  • Accounts book will be set up to track entrance fee and will be declared to the board members. All funds collected will go towards CTU2009 expenditure and community operations.
  • All necessary care, process, governance and procedures will be exercised and strictly held to prevent fraud, mis-use of fund.

Cancellation / No Show policy / Refund

Cancellation with a full refund is permissible only if cancellation is notified to i-dchung@microsoft.com before 14th Dec 2009 12.00pm.
Any cancellation requests received after that cut off time will not be refundable.

No Show - There is strictly no refund of entrance fee. Benefits not claimed by 19th Dec 2009 5pm, will be disposed of appropriately by the organizing team.

100% Refund will only take place at the discretion of the organizing comittee in limited circumstances. Refunds will take effect if the event is cancelled, or if your registration is rejected due to over-subscription.
